Yeah its odd I can see any reason for it to time out:

This seems to help a tad (could be my imagination):
AjaxPro.timeoutPeriod = 60 * 10000; // but it still dies and its
totally random.

I think its a timeout issue when the page makes a request if the server
doesn't answer in time it never tries to make the call again. does
anyone know of a way of handling it and remaking the call if it fails?
I would like to share this chat with everyone once I get this solved so
if anyone interested please give me a shout :)
