I believe this works
 AjaxPro.queue.abort;
However I think it kills all request.


One other thing you could do is adjust the wait time for the ajax
function.

I have a couple comments,
You could do something similar using server side code using a global
variable, however to keep on checking to see if it is OK seems like it
would waste resources. I would make sure all Functions Server and
Client side have proper error handling and timeouts to prevent
problems.
