Your question is way too generic and unfocused. You are going to have to spend the time to learn some basic Ajax, make it work, then start trying to implement your own code after you understand that. At any point in this process, if you have a specific question, people will be willing to anwer it.
 
So the first step is to install AjaxPro, and get some of the examples working. You should probably begin with search prior posts.
