Hi,

you can use the oldConfig/includeMsPrototype configuration in
web.config, see the example web.config in the download release
package. The $ function has been removed because it is not necessary
for the AjaxPro functionality, nothing else. I'm using the $ function
everytime.

You can use prototype 1.4 without any known problem, of course.
