Nobody having any suggestions what could be wrong here? I get no compilation errors, and it's a almost 100% pure translation to VB.NET from the .CS starterskit file. You can just copy the code into a .VB file and try it with the autocomplete.aspx file.
If not, maybe somebody (Mr Schwarz?) could maybe help me with a way to debug something like this - is there a way to see what is going on behind the scenes with the ajax retrieve? Ie: do the functions get called in the first place, what values do they hold etc...
