The 11th Annual Meeting
of the Canadian Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Network / Réseau Canadien de
Conservation des Amphibiens et des Reptiles will be held in Victoria, British Columbia,
Friday October 27 - Sunday October 29, 2006.
Presentations and Posters:
Presentations and posters for CARCNET sessions are open to all aspects of the
conservation biology of amphibians and reptiles and herpetological research
(e.g. population and metapopulation dynamics, genetics, diseases, commercial
harvest, status assessment, recovery plans, monitoring, habitat protection,
etc.). Presentations on public education projects and ethics are also welcome.
Symposia:
Annual meetings have symposia which cover current issues and topics
which are important in amphibian and reptile research and conservation.
The program will consist mainly of contributed 15-minute talks on Saturday and
Sunday, 28-29 October, but two invited keynote speakers also will be featured.
Details are still being worked out, so the following are tentative but not
expected to change dramatically:
