Apologies if this is spam for you...
David Tessler of the Wildlife Diversity Program at Alaska Department of Fish and Game and Tracey Gotthardt of the Alaska Natural Heritage Program at UAA are moving on. After more than 20 years in Alaska, we are leaving...for Hawai'i. We are moving to O'ahu. David is going to work as a Deputy Field Supervisor for Ecological Services in the Pacific Islands Fish and Wildlife Office. Tracey will continue to work remotely for AKNHP to complete a number of projects, and will be exploring new professional opportunities. And the kids and the dog will be romping in the water. The airplane door closes behind us on May 1. This was a tough decision for us. We love Alaska, and our dearest friends and colleagues are here. We have great jobs and get to do good things. But as difficult as the decision has been, we are at peace with it and are excited by the prospect of leaping once more into the unknown. It's like we're 20 again - except that we are creakier, older, and have two screaming kids... We have so enjoyed working with you all through the years and sincerely hope to stay in touch. We will continue to be involved in a few conservation/research efforts here in AK, and hope one day to have a place in Alaska to return to. Until then, our personal email is [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Come visit! Dave and Tracey David F.
