Having been involved in this project since its first day as a public project, one of the things I've learned is that adding features is easy, adding the right features is hard. Knowing which is which is rarely possible without extensive external feedback—which is why "experimental" is so important—it allows us to get feedback without risking impacting production systems if things are changed or removed.
