Hello,

Per the documentation 
(http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/2.3.3/java/mailboxes.html) it appears that 
the default mailbox of an actor is unbounded in size which I take it to 
mean that it will store as many things as it can fit in the memory of the 
machine it's running on. If you try giving it more than it can hold, I'm 
not sure if you would get some sort of "out of memory" exception or if your 
machine would crash. If anything, I'm pretty sure that message would get 
put in the deadLetters.
