Just store the confirmations too:

  case c @ Confirmation(deliveryId) =>
    persist(c) { _ => confirmDelivery(deliveryId) }

I also recommend watching our ScalaDays talk (Patrik at the 3/4 mark speaks
about the AtLeastOnceDelivery trait):
