I have the following test code:
import akka.actor.{Props, Actor, ActorSystem}
object TestString {
def main(args: Array[String]) {
implicit val context = ActorSystem("TestString")
val doTest = context.actorOf(Props(classOf[TestMe], "test_name"))
println("doTest: " + doTest.toString)
}
}
class TestMe(name: String) extends Actor {
def receive = { case _ => println("in TestMe") }
override def toString(): String = name
}
which gives something like:
doTest: Actor[akka://TestString/user/$a#-1774851695]
I don't understand why my toString does not override the Actor toString.
Any ideas?
