Hi Tim, Android is not our target platforms since we mostly target server-side. That said, Akka 2.4 will be still happy with Java 6 and it is our intended long term support release. It will be probably quite a bit of time while Akka 3 comes out and Java 8 will be required, but 2.4 will be around that time, too.
