There isn't an 1:1 update of that page for 2.3.x but you may simply want to follow the introduction chapter <http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/2.3.9/intro/index-java.html> of the docs section by section :-) * http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/2.3.9/intro/getting-started.html - for setup help * and this http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/2.3.9/java/hello-world.html for getting to the activator template, which should get you going :-)
