Dear hakkers, we recently discovered that http://repo.typesafe.com <http://repo.typesafe.com/> is hosting way more artifacts than we intended, and part of this is due to some old dependencies of Akka 1.x. We will eventually stop serving these because the monthly cost has become noticeable (or more precisely: it has been noticed), but before simply dropping the artifacts I want to ask who is still relying upon those?
Or to rephrase: who is still building projects that use Akka versions prior to 2.0? (for historical perspective: 2.0 was released on March 6, 2012) To clarify, we will still host all our own artifacts that are not also on Maven Central, we will just no longer host “the rest of the internet”.
