Hi,

I faced another use case where buffering can lead to unwanted behavior. I
have implemented a FallbackRoute (using FlexiRoute) that has one input and
two output, a "default" one and a "fallback" one. When the flow connected
to the default one complete (or fails) any remaining input in the upstream
flow is redirected to the fallback outlet. Due to buffering some elements
get lost because are already forwarded to the default outlet.

I solved this implementing an ActorSubscriber with ZeroRequestStrategy that
will request one element only when the current one has been processed, but
this works only when connecting the sink directly to the FallbackRoute, if
I put a Flow.map in between then buffering kicks in and the problem arise
again. It would be nice to control better how buffering works in between
sync stages.

Anyway thank you for akka-streams, they are really cool!
Francesco.
