I am trying to understand the "stats2.conf" example in the akka-sample-cluster-java Activator module; Why do I need the singleton (ClusterSingletonManager) here?
Souldn't it be enough to just use StatsService Actor without the Singleton pattern on its own cluster node? There would be only one StatsService Actor and its router would ensure that the payload-messages gets send to all the available Workers on all cluster nodes.
