Hi Giovanni, "We're working on it". M2 has the parts needed to enable stream fusing. Currently we're working on enabeling it for the most complex pipelines – the Akka HTTP pipeline.
2.0 will be out before x-mas, it's a time based release. We're expecting those changes to be in it. We're not speculating on perf of the initial release, should be able to give real measurements soon though. In the new year, we'll merge into Akka 2.4.
