Injecting a stub or mock db context object for integration tests would be
quite hard with this approach.
I wonder how di frameworks like spring and guice deal with this issue. The
application context (spring speech) should be also an actor system related
singleton and not a global object. I saw some code examples with global
init functions like:
object MyExt extends ExtensionId{
var mySingleton: MySingleton = _
def init(mySingleton: MySingelton){
this.mySingleton = mySingleton
}
}
Especially for testing - where I create actor systems en gross - this
couldn't be the right pattern?
