This area kinda needs work, IMHO. However my understanding is very weak, so please don't take anything I say with much weight.
So a completeStage() seems to...er.. complete the stage, but it takes a minute for the connection to be closed, when it finally times out. Setting eagerComplete = true seems to help. would be nice if we could completeStage(eagerly).
