Roland, I've enjoyed working with you since the day you were hired, and I'm glad I somehow managed to challenge you into starting to contribute to Akka, because that was the start of some massive improvements to Akka and its direction.
So, thank you for your service, for our many heated debates, for our shared dislike for Lars Ulrich's drumming efforts, and for bringing tons of good ideas to the table. (And metal is the best music to code to) Patrik, I'm thrilled to see you take on this role—there's zero doubt you're more than qualified to take on the responsibilities of Akka Tech Lead—you've done *stellar* work consistently over the years on the team. I'm pretty stoked about the Future! Unfortunately for you both, you have to endure me and my pointy-haired PRs and comments :) Also, the Akka community has been one of the friendliest and enjoyable communities that I've had the privilege of being a part of over the years. So I'm looking forward to see you Roland, sticking around. :) Happy hAkking, √ On Mon, Mar 7, 2016 at 6:37 PM, Roland Kuhn <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear fellow hakkers, > > as of today I am passing on the baton of Akka Tech Lead @ Lightbend to > Patrik Nordwall.
