I doubt there is really anything I can do to improve performance here, short of faster clock speeds on the CPU, but I figured I would ask and see if anyone has any advice.
I am downloading 200-500MB files and when they are decompressed they grow to be an order of magnitude larger. The step in my pipe that is bottlenecking me is definitely the decompression stage. I have looked around a little and have not found anything too promising. The only parameter that Compression.gunzip() takes is maxBytesPerChunk, but I can't imagine messing around with this value would be too helpful. Any help would be much appreciated. -- >>>>>>>>>> Read the docs: http://akka.io/docs/ >>>>>>>>>> Check the FAQ: >>>>>>>>>> http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/current/additional/faq.html >>>>>>>>>> Search the archives: https://groups.google.com/group/akka-user --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Akka User List" group.
