Hi Roland, I realized that although I jumped into this thread, the thing I'm really interested in is not exactly consuming the timed out requests, it can be done at one time in the future. The problem is how to cancel an already started request after a timeout. I put together an example project to show what the issue is:
https://github.com/vigoo/akka-http-client-cancellation It's of course possible that I'm just missing something, but I could not find a way to achieve the behavior I described on the linked project's README.
