I am trying to host an app built using akka-http, which serves as a REST API backend, on a Google Compute VM. Things work fine, but seem a bit slow: each request roundtrip takes ~5 seconds.
Few things I have realized I am doing: - I have chosen the lowest of the VM configs for now, for testing purpose - The VM is hosted in us-central and I am trying to access it across continent (from India). However, none of these I feel would make the app exceptionally slow as it is now: we access active content across continents all the time, right? When I try things on my local dev VM, the response is ~20ms. I have not found any blog post or any other guides on this topic. Are there any gotchas/notes anyone in the group is able to share on this topic? Thanks. -Samik -- >>>>>>>>>> Read the docs: http://akka.io/docs/ >>>>>>>>>> Check the FAQ: >>>>>>>>>> http://doc.akka.io/docs/akka/current/additional/faq.html >>>>>>>>>> Search the archives: https://groups.google.com/group/akka-user --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Akka User List" group.
