Kafka seems to be the best solution for event sourcing. Since it works as a 
real journal, it offers very good performance, and a solid reputation.

Is Akka persistence for kafka used in production by anyone? If yes, are you 
alerted that the old producer API of kafka (used in this plugin) is 
deprecated ?

There is a pull request that uses the new transactional
