I've used SVN for the past 9 months or so. Tortoise SVN is actually easier to use than Tortoise CVS, although it provides nearly 3 times as many options on the context menu. I much prefer SVN over CVS. I've never seen it integrated with VS, but the explorer integration is nice enough. The only issues that arise are when you add project files in VS and forget to add them in SVN, but then again, the same happens with CVS.
