Hi, We have setup a small grid of 4 machines
(1 Manager and 3 executors). The following is the strange behaviour I observed: For instance, I gave the
first run with 16 jobs. Before submitting the job, I exited from Alchemi Executor and
Alchemi Manager from all the executors and manager machine and
started them again. The first 16 jobs were completed properly. Executor 1 was much slower than Executor 2 and Executor 3. Executor 1 kept on running the first job while Executor 2 and 3
finished the rest of the jobs (2-15). The
second time, I tried giving 4 jobs only. But for
some strange reason, Executor 1 did not execute the jobs (gave the Finished
time stamp but not the Created time stamp). Executor 1 said finished to Job 1
and Job 4 while Executor 2 and 3 finished jobs 2 and 3 properly. After this I again exited the Alchemi
Executor from Executor 1 machine and restarted Alchemi Executor. Submitting the
same 4 jobs again produced the desired result. Have any one observed this kind of
behaviour. Do we need to stop or restart the Executor or Manager for every run? Thanks for any suggestions. Anand |
