Gimme a day or three to respond. I got this and started reading, but it deserves more than just a cursory read.
Of course, my first question was "why C++". I assumed it was because you'd been using C++ for a long time, but it seems that's not really the case. I strongly suggest you become competent in C#. C++ is good to know too, but if you're going to be in a managed environment, stick with C#. Beyond that, I need to actually read/digest the real content of the email. I'm in the middle of work stuff and writing a SIP client at home, so I don't have the time to give it justice yet.
