Unfortunately, you are only half-right. There was *a lot of interest* in my guessing package. And I showed species to Frederic Chapoton, whom I know to use MuPAD Combinat. So, maybe I should have said, "those people I'd suspect to use species, are not interested". And to me, the reason is not that they are just not interested. Rather, we cannot do yet what would be interesting, namely multivariate species, vectorial species, virtual species. I restate: Frederic expressed interest in computing the inverse of substitution, since currently he is doing this by hand. So, obviously, that would be useful... And Francois Bergeron said, ah well, species. Vectorial species, that would be interesting... Of course, everything we have so far is strictly necessary to do multisort, virtual, vectorial species. But I have the impression that we ought to move on, rather than working on a tutorial or similar "end-user" stuff. Thus, Ralf, again: please check in what you have so far on multisort species. It doesn't matter at all whether it compiles or not, whether it is documented or not, whether it is the design we are going to use. But I'm sure development will be faster if you do. I have some time on the weekend, so I can look at it, ask questions, etc... Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
