FYI - The directory tree that gump uses (which contains a two copies each
of a fair number of projects - one as obtained from cvs and another which
is built) totals approximately 1.5 gigabytes.

I'll admit that I've never successfully run Alexandria.  Many of the
readmes are misleading.  The closest I've ever been able to figure out is
to go into the jakarta-alexandria\build\alexandria directory, set ant_home
and run alexandria.bat.  I get an error:

XSL Error: Could not parse file:D:
\jakarta\jakarta-alexandria\build\alexandria\var\global.xml.tmp document!

I've attached the file produced.
