Status update: I brought the machine home and am reinstalling now. I'm
upgrading to RedHat Linux 7.1 and will be trying Sun JDK 1.4 beta.
I have now done two Gump runs on my Windows machine (still on 1.3), nothing
way out of the ordinary to report:
1) dom4j now needs Sun's tranquilo.
2) rhino removed a public interface used by batik. I contacted the author,
and he agreed to put it back and deprecate it.
3) It looks like Castor updated the schema namespace to match the latest
recommendations, requiring a minor change in Alexandria's xml files. Note:
Castor's tests fail as they are still using the old schema namespace. This
also affects openjms.
4) Jetspeed now uses cactus. I need to look into it.
5) compilation of Xalan's XLTC only works if the build is run from the
appropriate directory. I need to change Gump to accomodate.
Due to prereqs, I haven't tried xml-fop and xml-cocoon (either version)
will do shortly.
