I think we can get it done in Java. I'll definitely put in some more time as

I think I can get something going in Java pretty quickly once all the
descriptors are normalized. I am going to work this weekend on trying to get
what I started finished. When I stopped last I had a profile being pulled in
as an object, used Geir's dependency engine to sort the order and then
plugged the profile into a velocity context and generated the ant build
files with templates.

When the core is in Java and we have a DTD I think it will definitely take
off. I willing to put aside turbine for the weekend and try to get this
working. I love perl but would rather get this working in Java :-)
