No - Gump tries to resolve all href attributes in place while parsing the workspace/module definition. Nicola Ken's descriptors contain a bunch of elements that Gump ignores with href attributes that point to mailing list archives and so on - no well formed XML. So far it seemed as if I could ignore them, to really get rid of them we'd need to limit the href expansion to those elements where Gump really needs them (but I've no idea which that are, so far 8-).
