I give McCain a lot of credit. Overall he presented himself well.
However, he made claim to things about himself at least, that are
simply not true. He said that he has always voted for alternative
fuel bills, his record says different, and Obama pointed that out.

And he continues to hold on to the myth that he is for the veterans.
Voting for funding of a war is not "supporting the troops", that is
supporting the weapons manufacturers. Supporting the troops is voting
to give them the care and beenfits that they have earned to show the
thanks of a greatful nation; and on that basis McCain's record is
poor. The VFW and other veterans groups have pointed that out. Obama
has a much higher grade them he does.

Obama needs to be a bit more aggressive next time around, to hammer
some of these points home. When McCain keeps calling himself the
Maverick, Obama should be asking "where has the Maverick gone in the
last year?"

Obama held his own. However, you can clearly see how McCain has the
edge when it comes to knowledge in the foreign policy area. But I
would not agree with McCain when he says Obama doesn't understand.
