Yup, been using the VW hose for years for such applications.
The part number I have is: N 020 350 1 this is probably for a 1 meter
length as I beleive that is how it is sold.

Fuel hose will _not_ work. The brake fluid will dissolve it.
I find the easiest places to find low-pressure brake fluid hose are
BMW
and VW parts counters. The stuff they sell usually comes with a blue
cloth cover.
