All: Richard knows best. These social sites collect *way* too much
personal info. Not just about you, but about people you know (who may
not want their info shared.)
some are better than others. i have no particular beef with linked in,
actually, i know some of their
email people and they're ok.
it's the import address book feature that makes all the trouble, and the
marketing weenies insist
on including it, generally over the objections of the tech staff who
know better.
Richard: Ballpark total, how much do you need to keep the site going
for the winter? Or to be more direct, how much would you like to see
from us?
hard to say. what i need to do is update my income projection
spreadsheet to incorporate the new reality (it's
rather out of date, it shows rising income which is most assuredly not
what is going on right now), and
then do some quick-and-dirty income vs expense projection.
