Yes. The only affordable Alfa MIGHT be the Mito if and when it shows up here. But Alfas have NEVER been cheap cars. Even back in the 'fifties, a Giulietta Sprint or Spider was close to four grand. This is when a TR3 or an MGA could be had for half that. OTOH, these new Alfas are all overweight and under-powered. The Brera Coupe in 3.2 liter V-6/AWD configuration weighs in at around 3600 lbs, and the Spider, similarly configured weighs closer to 4000 lbs. With only 260 BHP on tap, that's really porky with extremely mediocre performance. .

Bernie and all. I saw that too.
at first I thought that this article was written some time ago because there
is no way these cars are getting here in 2009.
looking at the prices, they are all beyond my means. I was actually holding
out for a Fiat 500, but I blew the down payment on a used sailboat.

Subject: [alfa] Heater control bulb holder

My 1982 Alfa Spider is missing the bulb holder for the light that
goes into the top of the heater control label. I've tried some
random holders from the speedo and marker lights (I think) but
they're all too big. The inside diameter of the hole is just under
10mm. Any ideas where I can get a bulb holder that will fit?

Cheers

David
