To repeat again, how tight is too tight?
As I recall, the GTV6 manual calls for tightening the nuts to about 20 ft-lbs while simultaneously rotating the hub, then loosening the nut completely and retightening to 7 ft-lbs while rotating. So Alfa does call for a small preload.
