Strange, they're usually pretty helpful. At any rate, I seem to remember that earlier versions require a directory named 'windows' in the root of the C drive. As later versions of Windows use different directory names, it may not work with them.
Try creating a directory named 'Windows' under the root of your C drive, then try the installation again. The biggest problem is when I change/upgrade my computer operating system, the cardisk would not work. For example, I bought the disk when I was using Window xp, now it would not work on my vista system. The vendor was absolutely no help at all.
