I once had an intermittently sticking caliper.. The rubber hose inside the  
braided steel flex line had softened, probably as a result of oil getting  
on it, and the caliper would drag a little sometimes.

I did not check the hard lines for dents and the such; I  replaced the
originals about 8 years ago when one of the rear lines developed  a leak due
to rust.

Last time I changed the brake fluid was 2 years  ago.
