While much has been said about the potential of Fiat not launching Alfa in the
USA next year (honestly, at this point, if they were, shouldn't there be some
marketing? Ads? Promos?), I wanted to thank Eric H. for his comment regarding
the fun that comes through the steering wheel.

As a design engineer, I have been perpetually disappointed by my fellow
American engineers because they do not, as a body (there are exceptions), feel
that there is any art or fun in their designs. I think this is why so many
people miss out on an Alfa: the cars do not make much sense on paper, but get
behind the wheel and it is a different story. And this is why, I think, that
Italians love Alfa's so much even if they are Police cars: they are fun to
drive. A lot of us forget this fact, so thanks Eric for raising it on the
digest.
