If VW can do for Alfa, what it did (via Audi) for Lamborghini, it will likely be a change for the better. No longer having access Fiat's manufacturing facilities, VW would have to re-open Arese and possibly the Alfa-Sud facility near Naples as well. Of course, they could go the other way too. I.E. Alfa could become, like SEAT and Skoda before it, merely re-bodied VW platforms. THAT would not be good!
