I've seen pictures somewhere of a replica of a prewar 8C Alfa that actually did have a custom 8-cyl engine made out of two postwar 4-cyl Alfa engines. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't remember where I saw it.

...My plan was to build a tube frame. Since it
sits so high, an Alfetta transaxle should fit under the seat. I even thought
about joining two Alfa four cylinder engines together to make an 8C. OK, so I
am a day dreamer. But I have bid on a couple of non running kits over the
years.
