I haven't had to lubricate a speedometer cable in many years, but NAPA
used to sell graphite grease in a squeeze bottle. You unscrewed the
cable at each end and screwed on the bottle and squeezed, forcing
grease down each end of the cable housing. I don't know if they still
sell it, bt it was easy to use and did a good job.
