Yup. Agreed 100%. The Spider is a great "Girl's Car" :-).

72 Spider with Webers is silky smooth and blew away a Subaru Legacy the
other day at Stoplights Grand Prix: the Legacy driver was trying but didn't
know that there's nothing below 5000 rpm with those twin-turbo engines.

Those 90s US Spiders have been imported here but are not regarded as
desirable so sell for about 1/2 the price of the carbed right hand drive
version 70s Spiders. Duettos have been advertised at around $30,000NZ but I
don't know if any of them have sold.

It's a nice day here in Wellington NZ and I'm going to take the Spider for a
run to get the cobwebs out of the engine and just dry it out after it's been
sitting around for 2 months. One thing that bothers me about the Spider is
that the body doesn't seem as rigid as a GTV's and there is definitely more
flex. Any comments?

You can't go far wrong with a 91 Spider!  Ask the man who owns one  (better
yet, ask the woman). etc
