Gentlemen,

I get a lot of good advice off this list. Generally the advice is good. No offense Bruce but I'd skip this one, really. Too many problems.

My three favorite approaches:

1) soak with flavor of the day penetrating oil (currently using CRC). I try to start a couple days in advance. 2) blast with combination penetrating oil and freeze stuff that I get at NAPA. Works great on corroded suspension pieces on daily drivers. 3) the blue wrench. Heat the piece and try it. If no satisfaction heat more. A buddy taught me to heat bolts red hot and apply candle wax. The red breaks the corrosion bond and the wax keep it open. Works wonders and also helped to clear out all those old stub candles.

I use anti-seize and locktite on reassemble to prevent reoccurrence. New fasteners a lot too.

Get 2 visegrips and a BIG battery (don't waste
yer time with some battery charger) and some jumper cables. You clamp 1 of
the vise grips to the stuck bolt/stud/screw very tightly on a shiny part....
