Hi Spiros I have have this on several 164s the only way to fix properly is to remove the headliner completely (good time to renew ) take the console off clean and repair (here in oz they seem to disintergrate put back together with epoxy reinforcement sand joins smooth and cover with very thin leather black described as motorcycle jacket hide here) Refit headliner looks a million dollars can also do this to seat switch housings they have the same problems.
