The issue with the fuel pump is that it turns on as soon as the battery is connected, but when the engine is started it dies from what appears to be lack of fuel. The fuel pump is loud, sounds terrible, and seems to be independent of whether the car is started or the engine is loaded. I'm assuming the fuel pump is toast because even though it seems like it's going full blast, the engine is being starved. The strange thing about this is that the pump turns on when the battery is connected; before the key is even in the ignition.
This is my first post on the digest, is there anything I left out?
