Could the mid 80's Spiders achieve enough top end to require a spoiler? I don't recall lift being a problem in my early 70's Spider.. I think every manufacturer was bolting on 'performance' items in the 80's. It was all they could do, what with the choke hold on performance being administered by the feds. On the Spider, I'll bet the spoiler had a positive effect on gas fumes. On the above mentioned Spider cd's, I'll bet the number for the '71 is with the top up. The early 90's could be with the top down. bs -- to be removed from alfa, see http://www.digest.net/bin/digest-subs.cgi or email "unsubscribe alfa" to [email protected]
