Bruce,
I haven't checked the wiring diagram and it probably wouldn't show anyhow
but check the emergency flasher switch. On my Duetto and most of the Alfas I
have messed with in that vintage the emergency flasher switch sends the power
to the turn signals in one position and to the 4 way flashers in the other
position (two separate circuits with two separate flashers). The 4 ways are
notorious for not working so if the switch is in that position nothing is
going to work.
I made a drawing a few years ago for that system. If anyone wants one
just let me know.

Subject: [alfa] Non-working turn signals on '71 GTV
A friend with a '71 GTV has non-working turn signals on either side. The
turn signal exterior lights do not flash, the dashboard lights do not flash,
the emergency flasher doesn't work, and there are no clicks emanating from
the electronic flasher. He has looked for loose wires and tested for
voltage at the fuse box (#6 fuse - has 12 v). He hasn't removed the two
plastic clamshells covering the turn signals connections on the column to
have a look underneath.
Is #6 fuse the right one to test ? Any other suggestions as to where to
look ? On a side note, his interior fan doesn't work either - is it on the
same circuit as the turn signals ?
And is there a location of Alfa electrical schematics in electronic form so
that I can trace them more easily than the one in the Owners Manual ?
Thanks,
Bruce
