I'm selling my 1956 Giulietta Berlina (750 series). VIN AR1488*01774*, engine
1315*51850*. This is a US market car, very original, body will need plenty of
work as will interior. Pretty straight, complete, dawn grey, charming but
rusty around the lower extremeties. I bought it from Bill Gillham three years
ago, Drew Dawson owned it before that. Had kicked around the NW previously,
had a 1964 WA title and plates.

It is registered, running, insured, and functional. I rebuilt the original 750
engine fully (head, crank, pistons, everything), new clutch, resealed
column-shift gearbox, fully rebuilt brakes, new u-joints, fuel pump, carb,
exhaust, steering idler, generator, water pump, new Vredesten tires. Comes
with extra doors, many NOS good Berlina-specific parts (see below). Basically
a good operable car that needs cosmetics, or stabilize the underside and enjoy
the patina up top, which was my plan, since I like patina. There is a thread
on its mechanical restoration on the Giulietta forum on the AlfaBB with a
million pictures, but I can send more too.

Engine is the original 750, with rebuilt head by Norman Racing. 7.5 pistons,
which it had originally, are NLA, so it has 9.0. Has a Veloce intake cam and
Sprint/Spider two-barrel Solex and manifold, though it'd be easy enough to go
back to the one-barrel. Has a 101 4-2-1 exhaust installed.

Doors are really rust at bottoms, but four good ones come with. A couple
chassis legs are rusty, but the floors, rockers, and trunk floor are
surprisingly solid. Front jack points at rockers are poor.

Everything works except horn, wipers, gas tank sending unit. Heater fan works,
but hot water is not hooked up due to piping disagreements.

*     NOS instrument binnacle

*     Lucas wiper motor

*     ? Exhaust clamp

*     Column shift linkage

* Two used Solex 32 PBIC

*     Carb rebuilt kit

*     Two chrome rocker spears

* Original single-throat intake manifold with water pipe

*     Lucas distributor

* Bag window and door knobs

*     Pair extra taillight bases

Car drives reasonably well. I have used it around town but have not taken long
trips. This car I've decided not to pursue, though it's incredibly charming
and fun. You won't see yourself coming down the road. Clean California title
and plates. Eligible for historic rallies like California Mille, Mille Miglia,
etc. as a 1956 model. I have far more in it than it's worth, but I paid $7000
and that's what I'd hope to get. Have $4000+ additional in the engine, brakes,
etc. plus a million hours' labor. Contact me for more pics and review the
thread on the AlfaBB

lina-restoration.html).
